Privacy Policy
Last updated: 11 August 2026
Your privacy is important to us at Tutormax. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our platform. Please read it carefully.
Introduction
At Tutormax, we are committed to safeguarding your personal information and ensuring transparency about how we handle your data. This Privacy Policy outlines our practices regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of your information when you use our services.
Information We Collect
We may collect information you provide directly to us, such as your name, email address, and any other details you submit via our platform. Additionally, we may collect technical information like IP address, browser type, and usage data to help us improve our services.
How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain our services
- Improve, personalize, and expand our offerings
- Communicate with you, including responding to your inquiries
- Send you updates and important information related to your account or our services
- Comply with legal obligations
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your data with trusted third-party service providers who assist us in operating our website and delivering our services, subject to strict confidentiality agreements. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights.
Recruitment Data
When you apply for a company role, we collect the information in your application, including your name, email, phone number, city, education, employment status, availability, earliest joining date, resume, optional LinkedIn profile, answers to role-specific questions, assessment video uploads or video links where required, and your consent. We also record the role and post you applied to, application history, recruiter notes and decisions, assigned staff, and approved recruitment communications.
We store first-touch and submission-touch attribution such as UTM values, advertising campaign identifiers, Meta click and browser identifiers, landing URL, and referrer to understand recruitment sources. A successful first application may trigger Meta's standard SubmitApplication event through both the browser and Meta's server-side Conversions API. For server-side matching and deduplication, we may send Meta SHA-256-hashed email and phone identifiers together with Meta browser/click identifiers, IP address, user agent, application URL, job identifiers, and a shared event ID. Account creation and later application updates do not trigger another conversion.
Applying does not require an account. After submitting, you may create an email/password Firebase Authentication account using the application email. Firebase handles the password and sends the verification email; Tutormax does not receive your password. After email verification, your Firebase user ID is linked to your candidate record so you can view and update applications. We may contact you using email, phone, or an approved recruitment WhatsApp template where permitted by your consent.
Candidate records may be retained for future applications and legitimate recruitment, operational, legal, and security needs. Resumes and uploaded assessment videos are stored privately and made available to authorized recruitment staff through time-limited access links. You may request access, correction, or permanent deletion of your candidate record, applications, history, communications, stored resumes, and uploaded assessment videos by emailing support@tutormax.in, subject to any retention required by law.
Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data. If you have any questions or wish to exercise your rights, please contact us at support@tutormax.in.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
