ICSE Class 10 Science Syllabus 2027: Physics, Chemistry and Biology Plan
ICSE Class 10 Science is easier to manage when Physics, Chemistry and Biology are tracked separately. Each subject asks for a different mix of calculation, explanation, observation, diagram and practical understanding.
This guide links the three official CISCE 2027 documents and gives students and parents one system for coverage, practice and corrections without flattening the subjects into a single generic Science score.
Checked against the official CISCE Examination Year 2027 Physics, Chemistry and Biology syllabuses on 30 September 2026.

| Subject | Published Class X structure | Evidence to track |
|---|---|---|
| Physics | Two-hour paper, 80 marks; practical Internal Assessment, 20 marks | Model selection, units, working, graphs, diagrams and explanations |
| Chemistry | Two-hour paper, 80 marks; practical Internal Assessment, 20 marks | Conditions, observations, equations, calculations and applications |
| Biology | Two-hour paper, 80 marks; practical Internal Assessment, 20 marks | Processes, terminology, labelled diagrams, comparisons and experimental reasoning |
Use a different repair method for each subject
- Physics: draw the situation, list known quantities with units, select the principle and check whether the result is reasonable.
- Chemistry: connect reactants, products, conditions and observations; balance equations and explain why the change occurs.
- Biology: explain a process in sequence, attach each structure to its function and practise diagrams from memory with labels.
- Practicals: understand apparatus, method, observation, result and precaution rather than memorising isolated viva answers.
A weekly plan that does not hide the weakest paper

| Day | Main work | Output |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Physics concept and numerical set | Worked solutions plus error tags |
| 2 | Chemistry reactions and application questions | Equation-and-observation corrections |
| 3 | Biology recall, diagrams and explanations | One-page process map and labelled diagrams |
| 4 | Mixed timed sections | Separate score for each subject |
| 5 | Correction and retest | Fresh questions for every repeated error |
| Weekend | Practical record and tracker review | Next week's three repair targets |
What parents can check in ten minutes
- Are Physics, Chemistry and Biology recorded separately rather than as one average?
- Does every timed attempt have a marked correction and a planned retest?
- Is practical work visible in the weekly calendar?
- Can the student explain the next target and the evidence behind it?
- Has the family checked that every study resource matches Examination Year 2027?
Frequently asked questions
How is ICSE Class 10 Science assessed in 2027?
The official Physics, Chemistry and Biology syllabus documents each state one two-hour written paper carrying 80 marks and 20 marks of practical Internal Assessment.
Should the three Science subjects use the same study method?
No. They share a correction cycle, but Physics needs model and numerical work, Chemistry needs equations, conditions and observations, and Biology needs precise processes, terminology and diagrams.
Can a strong Biology score compensate for weak Physics preparation?
A combined school total can hide the problem, but the papers demand different skills. Track and repair each subject separately.
Where should students check the current syllabus?
Use the official CISCE documents linked in this guide and confirm that each says ICSE Examination Year 2027.
