MORE THAN GETTING THE ANSWER

The moment
it makes sense.

A good lesson makes room for the question behind the question. We work through the idea, try it together, then let your child put it into practice.

01

Find the missing piece

Start with what your child understands and where they need help.

02

Work it through together

Break down the concept with a teacher who can respond in real time.

03

Make the learning stick

Practise, check understanding and revisit what needs another look.

The answer matters.
So does the thinking.

Solve for x

3(x + 2) = 18
One easy mistake

3x + 2 = 18

Where did the method change?

Look at what happens to the 2 when the brackets are expanded.

Understand the concept. Practise the method.

BUILT AROUND CBSE / NCERT

Standard or Basic Maths? Where does the working break down?

These are the decisions that shape the teaching. We confirm the current syllabus and the learner’s work before agreeing the plan.

01 / Find the starting point

We start with a recent school test or exercise and separate concept gaps from calculation and presentation errors.

02 / Teach and practise

NCERT examples and exercises lead into mixed questions. The student explains each step, then tries the next one independently.

03 / Prepare for the paper

We practise the route the school has entered: Standard or Basic, with timed sections and clear working when the board exam approaches.

Helpful for the free demo

A recent Maths test, the chapters being taught and whether the school entered Standard or Basic.

WHEN REVISION REVEALS A GAP

Bring the attempt.
Find the next step.

Revision can be part of TutorMax’s existing 60-minute one-to-one Maths lessons. Bring the current syllabus, an attempted question and its marking scheme so you can discuss the support you need.

01 / Before the lesson

Choose one error to explain.

Bring your working as well as the answer. Mark the first step you could not justify: choosing a method, setting up an equation, using a formula or checking a root.

02 / In the lesson

Work through the missing idea.

One-to-one teaching and in-class practice give you a place to ask about that step. Agree the priorities and teaching pace with TutorMax using the learner’s actual work and the time available.

03 / Between lessons

Keep the evidence visible.

The student and parent panel shows assigned assessments, submissions and reviewed feedback when assigned. Use the attempted work to discuss what still needs attention; a completed worksheet alone does not establish mastery.

Confirm the learner’s board, assessed topics and timetable before agreeing a revision plan.

SUPPORT YOU CAN USE

The class is personal.
The support is visible.

From your first paid class, you can see what is scheduled, act when a time no longer works and follow the learning work in your TutorMax panel.

01 / Tutor fit

Find a teaching match.

See the teaching in an optional free group demo. Your paid classes are one-to-one; if the tutor match later becomes an issue, tell us and we will arrange a change and agree a new teaching slot.

02 / Class control

Know what is next.

See upcoming and completed classes in your panel. Request a reschedule there when plans change, subject to the published notice and usage rules.

03 / Learning evidence

See the work, not just the timetable.

Students can practise in the live classroom and get quick, actionable tutor feedback. Assigned assessments, submissions and reviewed results appear in the panel.

A FEW THINGS WORTH KNOWING
