About the role
Tutormax is looking for an Admissions Counsellor Trainee to handle enquiries from parents, understand each student’s requirements, explain suitable Tutormax programs, conduct structured consultations, and support families through the enrolment process. This is a full-time remote trainee role for freshers and early-career candidates who are confident communicators and want practical experience in admissions counselling and education sales. You will speak with interested parents over calls, WhatsApp, and online consultations; recommend the right program based on the student’s grade, subjects, and learning needs; answer questions; present pricing and class structure clearly; and take ownership of follow-ups until enrolment or closure. The trainee period is up to 2 months. Continuation after the first month will depend on performance. Strong performers may transition into a full-time Admissions Counsellor role with higher fixed compensation and incentives as they take on greater responsibility and demonstrate consistent results.

- Conduct and schedule structured parent consultation calls.
- Handle common questions, concerns, and objections professionally.
- Follow up consistently with interested parents and support them through enrolment or closure.
- Maintain accurate lead notes, follow-up updates, and outcomes in the CRM.
- Coordinate with tutor operations when tutor matching, availability, demos, or tutor interactions are required.
- Ensure assigned leads are handled on time and do not remain unattended.
- Work towards consultation, enrolment, and conversion goals while maintaining a helpful parent experience.

- Ability to learn quickly and improve based on feedback.
- Professional, reliable, organised, and responsive approach to work.
- Personal laptop, stable internet connection, and a suitable environment for professional calls.
- Full-time availability throughout the trainee period, without regular college, another job, or other commitments during working hours.
- Freshers may apply.
- Previous experience in sales, admissions counselling, customer support, telecalling, or EdTech is preferred but not mandatory.
