CBSE LOC 2026–27: A Parent Checklist for Classes 10 and 12
The List of Candidates (LOC) is the school's submission for regular Class X and XII candidates taking the 2027 examinations. Parents and students should check the personal details and subject entry with the school; this page is not an application portal.
Use the published dates below as a reference and ask for the school's earlier internal deadline. An internal collection date and CBSE's final submission date serve different purposes. Send corrections to the school promptly rather than waiting for the last board date.

Published submission and correction dates
The challan route has earlier generation cutoffs and a separate validity condition for deposit. Ask the school which payment route and internal cutoff apply; do not treat 21 or 30 October as a universal parent payment deadline. The school handles submission and payment under the circular.
The circular provides for a school-generated data-verification slip after the last date. Its named correction window covers candidate/parent/guardian names, date of birth and offered subjects. Read this specific window alongside the circular's finalisation rules rather than assuming mistakes can always be changed later.
| School process | Published 2026 window |
|---|---|
| Normal submission/payment schedule, non-challan modes | 24 September–21 October |
| Late-fee schedule, non-challan modes | 22–30 October |
| Challan generation, normal schedule | 24 September–17 October |
| Challan generation, late-fee schedule | 22–26 October |
| Data-verification slip correction window | 2–4 November |
Check these details with the school copy
The same code can mean different things in different classes: 241 is Basic Mathematics in Class X and Applied Mathematics in Class XII. Use the grade and full subject name together. The school's course and subject-combination rules still apply; a parent request alone does not establish eligibility.
| Check | A useful parent action |
|---|---|
| Student name | Compare spelling, order and spacing with the records the school asks you to use. |
| Parent or guardian names | Read each field separately; do not assume one correct name means the rest are correct. |
| Date of birth | Check day, month and year against the school's supporting record. |
| Subjects and codes | Read the code with the subject name and grade, not from memory. |
| Maths choice | Class X: Standard 041 or Basic 241. Class XII: Mathematics 041 or Applied Mathematics 241. |
| Photo and other entry particulars | Review the school's verification instructions and flag a mismatch immediately. |
| Acknowledgement | Ask how the corrected details will be shown to you and keep the school's confirmation. |
If you find a mismatch
CBSE's separate 23 September guidance stresses accurate school records and verification at different stages. It is not a blanket extension of the LOC schedule. If records disagree, ask the school which supporting documents and correction procedure are required instead of altering an official record yourself.
For access arrangements or a special eligibility situation, speak to the school early: the general LOC table should not be treated as the deadline for every related process. This checklist intentionally does not calculate individual fees or determine eligibility.
Identify
Write the field, what the school copy shows and what you believe needs correction. Refer to the supporting record requested by the school.
Contact
Send it through the school's designated channel and ask which current correction process applies.
Verify again
Read the revised school copy or verification slip; do not assume an acknowledgement means the value has already changed.
Retain
Keep the final confirmation and relevant school instructions for later checks of examination documents.
APAAR and private details
The LOC instructions describe APAAR as optional, including an option when it is unavailable or not provided. Ask the school to use the applicable option in accordance with the circular. Do not infer from this checklist that a family must obtain or publish an identifier to read revision material.
Keep identity documents and candidate particulars within the school's authorised process. TutorMax's public resources do not need the student's LOC, identity number or certificate to explain a formula or help plan revision. For a tuition discussion, the relevant grade, board, subject route and learning difficulty are usually the useful starting information.
After the entry is confirmed, choose the right study material
Write the confirmed subject name and route on the front of the practice folder. Download the matching official sample paper and marking scheme. Keep administrative checking separate from study planning: finishing registration does not show which chapters need help, and a tuition provider cannot confirm the school's examination entry.
Frequently asked questions
Can parents submit the regular-candidate LOC through this page?
No. The school submits the LOC through CBSE's process. This page is a checking aid and does not accept applications, payments or documents.
Is 21 October the deadline to give details to my school?
Not necessarily. The school may set an earlier internal deadline, and challan generation has an earlier board cutoff. Ask the school for its applicable process and date.
What if I discover an error after submission?
Contact the school immediately. The circular provides a data-verification slip correction window of 2–4 November 2026 for named fields, alongside its other submission rules. Recheck for later notices and do not assume changes remain available indefinitely.
PERSONAL SUPPORT
Entry confirmed, but revision needs a plan?
Use the confirmed subject route and a recent attempt to discuss academic support. LOC submission and corrections remain with the school.
